Course Introduction

第一單元是以食物為主題的實用中文。讓你了解不同的在地飲食文化之外，也能讓你在亞洲旅遊的時候，可以對食物的名稱有不同的認識，並同時能自在的使用中文練習點飲料。此課程分為兩個章節（Unit 1-1 ），第一章節主要先讓不熟悉中文的學習者可以先學習生字，並運用對話了解如何正確使用語句結構。

而第二章節（Unit1-Chapter2-1）則是會從飲食這個部分更加探討關於珍珠奶茶的故事， 適合進階的閱讀。

此章節 (Unit 1 - Chapter 2-2) 談到了孔子的「飲食男女」。並以此為主軸，討論食物、文化與人之間的關聯。第二章節的學習內容較為難一些，但是適合對於東方文化有興趣的學習者接觸！

This lecture is divided into two chapters (Unit 1-1) and (Unit 1-2). In unit 1-1, you will learn the different food cultures and the names of local food. You can use these vocabulary words and sentence structures when traveling in Asia.

In this chapter, you will be able to use the vocabulary words you learn from the Unit 1 - Chapter 1 and start to make some sentences by yourself. You will learn how to order drinks at the hand-shaken beverage store.

In Unit 1- Chapter 1 You will read the story of boba milk tea and will know how pearl tea was invented. 

In the second chapter (Unit 1-2), we start from the movie （飲食男女 Eat Drink Man Woman）filmed by Ang Lee （李安）. The name of the movie comes from the context of the Book of Rites. Confucius said, food and sex are basic human desires. The notion of ”desire” is originated from the cultural meaning of ”yinshi” (飲食 food and drink) and ”nannu” (男女 having sex) as two main factors in the Confucian rituals of the pre-Qin period.

We will discuss the intriguing relations between food, culture and people from different perspectives. The learning content of the second chapter a bit harder, but it is suitable for learners interested in oriental culture!
